Our Story

The Three Pillars

Omega Delta Psi was founded in 2007 by James Saxon III on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University. Omega Delta Psi, commonly referred to as "ODP" is built on three pillars: family, networking and experience. We strive to give all of our members the opportunity to expand their knowledge in the recording industry through various panels, workshops, events, and hands-on experience opportunities.

Family: Although we are not a Greek affiliated or licensed organization, Omega Delta Psi uses greek letters due to our strong belief in the family aspect of our organization. Beyond the industry-related experiences that we try to offer our members, we also believe the ODP is a home away from home for many members.

Networking: Beyond fellow members as well as alumni of ODP that will instantly be available for networking we also try to build panels for all areas of the industry. We like to bring in industry professionals from different sectors to discuss their roles and responsibilities in their positions. These panels also give our members the chance to build relationships with those people in order to

Experience: Omega Delta Psi prides itself on its ability to offer members many different hands-on experiences from working at festivals such as Folk Alliance International, Rhythm N' Blooms, Muddy Roots, Touchdown And Tunes Tailgate Festival, and many more as well as hosting workshops for various things including recording workshops, publishing workshops, resume workshops, professionalism workshops, etc. Through these various events and workshops, Omega Delta Psi is able to give members additional experience outside of the classroom.
